Dog Play Coach/Spa Assistant

Looking for an energetic dog lover who supervises dog play.  We want mature reliable people that treat each dog as if they were their own.  Your job will include ensuring the happiness and safety of the dogs while maintaining a very clean daycare facility.  Candidates with dog daycare or spa experience are greatly encouraged to apply.  If you do not have experience in a dog daycare facility, don’t worry.  One of the benefits of working with our company is training is included.  This is a very rewarding job for those who enjoy working in a high energy environment with energetic dogs.

Salary:

$13.50-$13.75 an hour

Job Description:

  • Maintaining the safety of the dog room. 

  • Actively play and communicate with dogs.  Correct too-rowdy behavior. 

  • Treat all dogs as you would your own and other employees as you would want to be treated. 

  • Be attentive at all times to the dogs in your care.  Let supervisors know of any dogs showing aggressive behavior.

  • Maintaining a clean playroom.  Cleaning after dogs during open play and completing a deep clean at the completion of the open play session in order to keep bacteria and viruses away.

  • Provide basic spa services for dogs.

  • Logging and feeding of dogs in your care and logging of any activities with the dogs.

Required Skills:

  • Able to adapt easily in a fast-paced, team orientated environment.

  • Must be an energetic dog lover.

  • Ability to work on your feet up to 8 hours.

  • No fear of being with any size or type of dog breed.

  • No fear of being alone with a minimum of 20 dogs in the room.

  • Keep a positive and caring attitude with all our furry friends.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to handle dogs up to 150 pounds.

  • Maintain a regular and punctual attendance.

  • Must be flexible to work a non-traditional schedule (can start as early as 6:30 am and end as late as 8 pm) including weekends and/or holidays.

  • Must have a high school education.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

Other physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be able to squat and/or stoop frequently

  • Position requires standing and/or walking for most of the shift

  • Dog rooms can be noisy at times
